About Us

Founders: Mr. Calvin & Mrs. Loritta Jamison

Calvin Jamison~~~ A native of West Memphis, AR, he is also a Vietnam Navy Veteran, Calvin has 20 + Years of Alcohol and Drug Sobriety and over 10+ years of Nursing and Mental Health. Calvin is also a MInister of God, his passion is encouraging others to overcome any obstacles in life. Calvin is also a Mentor for Young Men of Standard, a mentoring group for boys ages 7-17. One of Calvin Motivational Sayings is “ Stability is necessary.”

Loritta Jamison~~~ A native of Little Rock, Ar, Loritta has 30+years of Nursing and 17 years of mental health/alcohol and drug detox. Loritta is also a Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified HIV Counselor and is currently pursuing education in Grant Writing. Loritta is compassionate in advocating for HIV Prevention and Wellness. She is also the Founder of GEMS Mentoring group for young girls ages 7-17, and YMOS Mentoring group for young boys ages 7-17.

Loritta’s Motivation Saying is “ Long as you are breathing there is hope.”

Linda Johnson-Secretary/Treasure

has a B.S. in Business Administration from University of AR at Pine Bluff (UAPB) and master’s degrees in business administration (MBA) and Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Arkansas- Little Rock (UALR). She also has certificates as a Certificate in Management,

Certified: Arkansas Manager, Certified Government Financial Manager, and a Certified Volunteer Manager. She worked 20 years as an auditor with the Department of Human Services before retiring after 17 years as Payroll Manager at UALR. Linda is a family-oriented person and enjoys spending time with her family, helping people, arts and crafts, and traveling. She’s a member of Longley Baptist Church. Currently, She’s a member of Longley Baptist Church. Currently, she works with the GEMS program and Loritta’s Healing Hands non-profit agency.

Latara Barnes is a dedicated professional with a Master’s degree in Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, both earned from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Latara states ” My career is driven by a passion for mental health and a commitment to working with adults, children and adolescents. With a strong academic foundation and years of experience, I am well-prepared to make a meaningful impact in this field. My hope is to have the opportunity to contribute my expertise to benefit those I serve in my community.”

Jamie Goodwin, BSN, RN

native of Little Rock, AR. She received her nursing degree at Baptist Health College of Nursing and her bachelor’s at University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She’s worked in the nursing field since 2004. She has more than 10 years of experience in Psychiatry, Geriatrics, with some years in Pediatrics. She is a Daisy Award recipient and is very compassionate about holistic healing. Jamie is family oriented; she enjoys traveling and reading.

Larry Wells- Peer Support,

Native of Cotton Plant, AR Larry is a Vietnam Army Veteran, he has over 10 years of Sobriety from Alcohol and Drugs Addiction. Larry facilities Alcohol and Drug meetings to help people through their addiction, volunteers helping Senior Citizens in His Community.

Vanita Franklin- Advisor– Ms. Franklin is an Entrepreneur, Business Owner, President of several Non-Profit Organizations for Youth in the City of LR. and has years of Medical Experience. Ms. Franklin compassion is serving the Homeless and working with Youth’s.

Carlas R. Smith -At Large Member -Mrs. Smith is a Native of Little Rock, Arkansas, and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She has over 30 years of procurement experience. 

She has supply chain and procurement experience with telecommunication, manufacturing, higher education, and nonprofits. 

Carlas loves to travel and spend time with her grandchildren, which she calls her GBs.

Anteisha Sims-is a Native of Little Rock, AR. Mrs. Sims works with the Disabled Blind Residents of Pulaski County, Anteisha has over 10 years in the medical field. She is also an Entrepreneur in Wedding Planning, Custom Cake and Design, and Abstract Art.

Reverend Benard West-is a Native of Grady, AR. Mr. West has a Associate Degree in Computer Program from Southern Technical College, and a Certified Microsoft Programmer. Reverend West has a compassion for Youth where he volunteers as a Mentor for YMOS, Basketball and Golf Coach for Youths.

Loritta’s Healing Hands Agency, Inc. (LHHA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. We proudly serve the great citizens of Pulaski County, AR. The founders are Mr. & Mrs. Calvin and Loritta Jamison. The agency itself is governed by a Board of Directors.

At Loritta’s Healing Hands Agency Inc, our mission is to promote healing and wellness for the body and soul of the next generation. We believe in the importance of building self-esteem, nurturing spiritual awareness, and fostering hope for a better future. Our aim is to empower individuals, helping them become productive citizens and fulfill their unique purpose in life. Through our comprehensive services, we strive to create a positive impact on the lives of those we serve. Join us on this transformative journey towards holistic well-being and personal growth.

Our focus is to promote self-esteem and spiritual awareness, by instilling hope for a better future through Education, and bridging the gap by Networking with other Resource in the Community to help meet the needs of each Client. It is our desire with everyone that they will become productive citizens by fulfilling their purpose, and goals with the assistance, skill, and knowledge through Loritta’s Helping Hands Agency.

Services Offered

Substance/Alcohol Disorder Addiction-It is the belief of the Healing Hands Agency that a person can attain abstinence from their drug of choice by giving hope, and tools to change a lifestyle of addiction to a lifestyle of normalcy to where they are in life. This agency would assist to be an instrumental tool to referral services in the community with other organizations.

We offer Alcohol and Drug Abuse Mentoring and Maintenance Education. 4 Week Mentoring and Maintenance Program, Clients who completed this program will receive a Certificate of Completion.

The spiritual vision of LHHA is to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where individuals can deepen their connection with their spirituality and explore their own unique spiritual path. LHHA aims to provide resources, support, and guidance to help individuals discover their inner wisdom, cultivate inner peace, and find meaning and purpose in their lives. Through a variety of programs, workshops, and services, Loritta’s Healing Hands Agency seeks to inspire personal growth, foster spiritual exploration, and promote a sense of unity and interconnectedness among all beings.

Faith Based Services are offered to anyone who is in need of enhancing their everyday life skills through Emotional Stability, Spiritual Empowerment, Physical and or Mental Wellness.

By recognizing the fundamental importance of meeting individuals’ needs, Loritta’s Healing Hands Agency is committed to providing comprehensive support to help individuals achieve a stable quality of life. Our belief is that with Mental, Physical, and Spiritual coaching, people living with this disease can lead fulfilling lives. We are here to educate and empower individuals, emphasizing that a wholesome life is within reach.

At Loritta’s Healing Hands Agency, we understand the significance of addressing HIV-related concerns. That’s why we offer an array of services, including HIV Testing, Education, Risk Assessment, and Referral Services. Our goal is to facilitate access to Primary Care, Dental, and Medication for those in need. Please note that Proof of Residency and Income is required to avail of these services.

GEMS – Godly Education Other’s to Shine

Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Is a faith-based group of young ladies ranging from ages 7-17. Our mission is to incorporate the word of God and apply it to real life situations that face the younger generation today.

We Meet Twice a Month on Sunday’s 6pm-7pm via Zoom and In Person.

We offer: Christian Education, Nutrition, Health and Wellness, Flag Ministry, Poetry, and we also guide them in other talents God has given them. Culture-Supportive Motivation for today’s teens and parents. We hope to inspire others to be Godly, Educated & Motivated to Shine!

YMOS

Young Men of Standard

1st Timothy 4:12 12 Let no one [a]despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, [b]in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Young Men of Standard is a Faith Base Mentoring Program which consist of a group of young gentlemen’s ages 7-17 mentored by Ministers and Mentors to become Christian Young Men through the teachings of scriptures in the Holy Bible. YMOS meet once a month via Zoom or In Person.

We offer: Christian Education, Nutrition, Health and Wellness, Flag Ministry, Poetry, and we also guide them in other talents God has given them. Culture-Supportive Motivation for today’s teens and parents. Real life situation Coaching and Coping Skills our young gentleman’s faces today.
